Didn't count on Storm Floris, always expect “ four seasons in one day” but this day was a very windy one!! but after sunshine and showers! Everything was perfect and the wildlife was stunning.! Lots of dolphins and Minke whales around the bay nearly every morning and night. Otter in the Bay and fly pasts by White Tailed Eagles and Mr and Mrs Hen Harrier which was very special and of course the usual noisy buzzards! After lots of walking and kayaking it was great to sit out in The Cube in the sunshine an enjoy watching the wildlife. Thank you so much Mary for sharing your fantastic home from home . We had a magical time as always and look forward to doing it again next year"

"This is our first stay at Air an Oir and now we understand why Mary has so many returning visitors. When we read the reviews before booking, we knew there must be something special that was drawing people back year after year and now we know why! Thank you Mary for sharing such a lovely home in such a magical setting. You can always feel the difference when a home is loved rather than just being a holiday rental. This week has been the last of our 4-week long walking holiday around the west coast of Scotland and was the best place to slow down and relax a bit, although we have done some lovely local walks. The view over the bay and the surrounding hills invoke a feeling of calm and you can't help but absorb the magic. Thank you Mary for your kindness and hospitality. Now we know the secret, we hope that we too can return to this special place. P.S. We didn't see much in the way of wildlife but caught a glimpse of The Aurora on the first night! Also barely a cloud in the sky All WEEK!!!”

“The last few weeks have flown by far too quickly! Fantastic time once again, mixed weather of sunshine and rain, but that's part of the fun! Lots of walking, kayaking and lots of wildlife. Three white tailed eagles flying past most days and otters in the bay, early morning. Pods of dolphins out past the bay most evenings. Lots of deer in the fields below and a male hen harrier also flew past on a couple of occasions. Perfect evenings sitting out on The Cube enjoying the beautiful sunsets. Highlight of our final week was watching The Northern Lights and Meteor Shower sitting out on The Cube until 3a.m.The colours were amazing( we had our own “Local Hero “ moment!).Thank you Mary so much for sharing your wonderful house, everything was perfect as usual. We can't wait to do it all again next year & forever!! xx

David & Steven, May 2024Words can never express the wonderful time we have had over the past five weeks. Very mixed weather, but we managed to swim twice at Sanna. As always, we enjoyed the wildlife viewings.- white, tailed, eagle most days, Pine Martin caught on night camera, dolphins in The Bay along with the local otter in The Bay on the left side below the house. Also a family of otters at Kilchoan ferry port. The latest local attraction is the honesty box on the left hand side on the way to Kilchoan. Full of wonderful traybakes made by Lyndsey, her pancakes are scrummy - would recommend to everyone. Swordle Makes is a great addition. Thanks again Mary for allowing us to stay in this haven by the sea and rebooked for our visit next year- our 18th year. Fiona and Brian ,
August / September. 2023.Fantastic time here again, thank you, Mary for sharing your home. Perfect weather, lots of sunshine and of course a bit of rain! Lots to see as always, two otters in the Bay most mornings, pods of dolphins nearly every night, some coming close into the Bay. Highlight was watching dolphins and minke whales, having a feeding frenzy with gulls and many shearwaters and then a minke whale breaching 7/8 times!! The two resident white tailed eagles flying past every day , sometimes over the cottage. Lots of walking and kayaking and then the perfect end, standing on The Cube at 3.30a.m. to see The Northern Lights!! Can't wait to do it all again next year, Thankyou so much for the perfect holiday. June 2023.Once again, a fantastic stay at Air an Oir and this was enhanced by glorious weather for the whole week! Spotted the dolphins, swimming westwards across the bay one morning, the pair of buzzards were scooting about in front of the house as per usual, and also a stag in the field below the house most evenings,. ( The weather also seemed to have pulled in some unwelcome marine life too- loads of jellyfish were in the bay earlier in the week!)
